Basic Group Life
MetLife Insurance Company provides a Basic Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Plan that is available as a “stand-alone” plan or in conjunction with health plan coverage.
This Basic Term Life and AD&D insurance is a guaranteed issue, 100% employer paid benefit and 100% required participation. Any of several volumes of life insurance benefits are provided by MetLife. Based upon enrollment size requirements, a member firm can offer either one flat level or scheduled benefits. Benefit levels are $5,000, $10,000, $25,000 and $50,000.
Insured participants must be actively at work to participate in the plan. Conversion options are available upon termination of employment.
